Missing

©Alastair Daly

Something is missing

Out of place, askew

But needed to go on

Deep and resonating

Jagged and sharp

Cuts deep inside

Contentment stripped

Now a gaping hole

Curled up inside

Sealed up, secluded

Solitary brings quiet

Peace is but temporary

Chaos will break down the order

Conflict will flare again

Clash and break like waves

Come down on the rocks

Wind whistles

Fights the world

Hates the world

For what it has done

Broken and Spoiled

Beauty ruined

Shattered and estranged

Bonds must break

Destruction leave its scars

Wipe clean the knife

Fear for it mars

Mars your beauty and mars your life
